“A lessoncast gives me just what I need to take an idea and make it work in the classroom.”
A lessoncast is a spreadable example of the what, why, and how of effective teaching. Lessoncasts feature one lesson idea or management strategy in 2 minutes 30 seconds or less. Lessoncasts include teacher-created downloadable resources to help implement the ideas. A lessoncast is NOT a lesson plan, but rather a quick how-to overview meant to inspire and support teachers looking for effective resources. View sample lessoncasts at our Gallery.
Teachers at schools with a license to LessonArchitect use screen capture technology, built into the site, to record and publish their lessoncast. Publishing a lessoncast does NOT require being on camera. A lessoncast shares the most important information required to effectively implement an instructional practice in the classroom.

LessonCast helps learning communities design professional development that targets specific needs and changes instructional practice. We support a continuum of professional learning that spans support for teachers new to the classroom, experienced teachers with expertise to share, and leaders guiding a community in improving instruction.
