What is Job-Embedded PD Anyway?

“Job-embedded professional development (PD)” is a frequent phrase tossed about to suggest that certain teacher PD activities are of high quality. This phrase has graduated from jargon to cliché, but has yet to matriculate to acronym. (JEPD?) Education circles are aware of the potential to overuse terms to the point of lost meaning.
